Consumer Protection Policy and Rights of Sellers and Buyers
This policy outlines the rules governing buying and selling operations on the Riymar platform. The platform provides a secure environment for sellers and buyers of finishing materials and essential construction materials, such as marble, granite, ceramics, stone, blocks, cement, sand, and other finishing materials. This policy aims to promote transparency and ensure the rights of all parties.
1. Definitions
- Platform : The website or application that facilitates buying and selling between sellers and buyers.
- Seller : Any individual or entity registered on the platform to sell construction and finishing materials.
- Buyer : Any individual or entity purchasing products listed on the platform.
- Order : Any purchase transaction conducted through the platform, including payment confirmation, shipping, and delivery.
2. Seller Obligations
- Provide accurate product specifications, including images, dimensions, and market-compliant prices.
- Issue an official invoice to the buyer containing order details.
- Adhere to quality standards and compliance with approved specifications.
- Ensure product availability and avoid listing unavailable materials for sale.
- Provide warranty certificates for products that require them.
- Update prices periodically and avoid any unannounced price changes or manipulation.
- Comply with the platform’s return and replacement policies.
- Each store has its own policy, which the buyer must review on the store’s page.
3. Buyer Obligations
- Review product specifications and ensure they meet their requirements before purchasing.
- Pay for orders within the specified deadlines and avoid refusing to receive shipments.
- For cash-on-delivery payments, the buyer bears any additional fees.
- The buyer is responsible for shipping and return costs if the order is cancelled after shipping.
- The buyer is not entitled to return products that have been cut or customized unless there is a proven manufacturing defect.
4. Pricing and Cost Calculation
- Prices for some products are determined based on square or linear meters.
- The total cost is automatically calculated upon order confirmation.
- Displayed prices include value-added tax (VAT), if applicable.
5. Commission Rate and Payment Mechanism
5.1 Commission Rate
- The platform charges a fixed commission of 1.4% on each successful sale.
- The commission is automatically deducted from the collected amount before transferring the seller’s dues.
- The commission is non-refundable except in cases of returns due to seller error.
5.2 Payment Methods and Transfer of Dues
- Electronic payments are processed exclusively through Paymob (FenTech).
- Seller dues are transferred to their bank account every Sunday and Thursday, in accordance with Paymob’s terms and conditions.
- The platform uses advanced encryption (SSL) to protect payment data and does not store credit card information.
6. Shipping and Delivery
- Products are shipped through approved shipping companies.
- Shipping costs depend on the weight, size of the order, and delivery location.
- The seller is responsible for updating the shipping status and providing a tracking number.
- If the shipment is delayed due to the seller or the shipping company, the buyer is compensated as per the agreement.
- Shipping is not available to certain geographic areas, and the buyer will be notified before order confirmation.
7. Return and Replacement Policy
- The buyer may cancel the order before shipping and receive a full refund.
- The buyer is not entitled to return products that have been cut or customized unless there is a proven manufacturing defect.
- If the buyer receives a product that does not match the description or has a proven manufacturing defect, they are entitled to return or replace it without additional costs.
- The buyer bears return costs if the reason is a change of mind or an incorrect order.
- Products that have been installed or used are not eligible for return unless there is a clear defect.
- The buyer must review the seller’s store policy, as return and replacement policies may vary between sellers.
8. Order Cancellation and Refunds
- If the order is cancelled before shipping, the buyer is entitled to a full refund.
- If the order is cancelled after shipping, shipping and return costs are deducted from the refund.

If the seller cancels the order due to product unavailability, the buyer is entitled to a full refund without deduction.
9 . D isputes and Conflict Resolution

In case of a dispute, the parties must first contact customer service to attempt an amicable resolution.

IF no resolution is reached, the complaint may be escalated to the relevant regulatory authorities, such as the Ministry of Commerce or the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO).

All parties are bound by the platform’s decisions in accordance with Saudi consumer protection laws.
10. Data Privacy Protection

The platform is committed to protecting user data in accordance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

The data will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent.

Date may be used for service improvement and marketing purposes, with the option to unsubscribe at any time.
11. Warranties
- Products are covered by a warranty for a specified period, which includes repair or replacement in case of manufacturing defects.
- The warranty does not cover damages resulting from misuse or improper installation.

Any violating products will be removed immediately, and the seller’s account may be suspended.

The event of natural disasters or crises affecting shipping or payment operations, users will be informed of potential delays, and necessary actions will be taken.

18. Promotional Offers

Promotional offers are governed by specific terms, including validity periods and refund eligibility.

20. Governing Language

In case of any discrepancy between the Arabic and English versions of the Terms and Conditions, the Arabic version shall prevail.
21. Intellectual Property

Sellers are prohibited from listing or selling products that infringe intellectual property rights (e.g., trademarks, patents, or copyrights).

The platform is responsible for removing any violating products immediately upon reporting.
22. Acceptable Use of the Platform

Using the platform for illegal or unethical purposes is prohibited.

23. Indemnification

The seller agrees to indemnify the platform for any losses or legal claims resulting from their violation of the terms and conditions.
24. Advertising and Marketing

The platform is committed to clearly disclosing any paid advertisements or marketing partnerships.

The platform reserves the right to use sellers’ images and products for marketing purposes, while respecting intellectual property rights.
25. Exceptions and Limitations

The platform is not liable for any indirect damages (e.g., loss of profits) resulting from the use of the service.

26. Jurisdiction

28. Termination of Service

35. Entire Agreement
